The University Archives' collection consists of corporate and priivate records that have been selected by archivists for permanent retention, as well as original copies of all theses and dissertations written at the University of Calgary. The Archives' collection contains records in all formats, including photographs, textual records on paper, sound recordings, film and videotapes, electronic records, and architectural drawings.
This site contains both descriptions of the records held in the Archives (similar to a library catalogue) and records from the Archives' collections which have been scanned and are available online in digital format. Of course, the original records remain in the Archives and can be accessed by researchers in our Reading Room during regular opening hours.
Go to Research Tools and Finding Aids in order to access descriptions of our records, or to Digital Resources if you wish to access scanned archival textual and photographic records.
A Glossary of archival terms has been provided to assist clients in the interpretation of finding aids.
