Inquiry Based Learning

The University Archives makes records in its collection available to students and staff engaged in inquiry based learning courses and projects.  Students wishing to access records in the Archives for their research papers independently are also welcome.

If you are an instructor interested in integrating the use of primary source materials from our collections into your course curriculum, we would be pleased to offer assistance.  Contact us at uarc@ucalgary.ca to discuss your requirements.

We provide:

  • Introductory instruction on how to find and access archival records in the University Archives and in other archival respositories; how to read a finding aid listing records available for research; and how archival records are organized.
  • Orientation to records in the Archives which relate to specific subjects or themes.
  • Mediated access to records in the University Archives' collection for classes or individual students.
